The Monmouthshire Building Society was established in Newport in 1869 to meet the needs of the local people.
Founded as a mutual organisation we believe that this form of corporate status has stood the test of time and is as effective today as it ever was. We are a totally independent regional Building Society and endeavour to apply true mutual principles to all our affairs. The Society operates through a network of branch and agency offices covering the M4 corridor from the Severn Bridge in the east, to Swansea in the west. Please note that the Society currently operates geographical restrictions on the opening of investment and savings accounts for new customers. The restriction applies beyond a radius of twenty miles from our branch and agency offices. We aim to : Offer a comprehensive range of competitively priced products designed to meet the ongoing needs of our customers in a fast changing world. Provide a service which is recognised as being more personal, friendly, efficient and flexible than that of our competitors. Maintain total financial security and peace of mind for our members.
