The Bank’s operations in Great Britain were recently brought together as one business unit called Bank of Ireland UK Financial Services. The new unit is the largest Division of Bank of Ireland, employing 5,500 staff. Based on last year’s results, it delivered pre tax profits of £237 million. The Division includes Bank of Ireland Great Britain, Bristol & West, Bank of Ireland Northern Ireland and Chase de Vere Investments.

Business Units
Business Banking incorporates the main branch network in GB, Private Banking and Bristol & West Professional and Corporate Business. It is organised specifically to serve the business community. Bank of Ireland Private Banking caters for the needs of affluent individuals. In addition, we have a specialist unit to meet the needs of investors looking for finance to help fund Traded Endowment Policy portfolios. Bristol & West Professional and Corporate Business specialises in providing deposit based accounts to individual clients and companies. Our aim is to build long-lasting relationships based on an intimate knowledge of what customers need from their bank.
Bristol & West Property Finance provides lending to the UK property investment market. We lend on both commercial and residential property and our borrowers include corporate, trustees, partnerships and individuals.
Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking & Structured Finance specialises in public private partnership arrangements and corporate transactions. We have specific teams in Corporate Banking dedicated to the following sectors: Construction, Hotels and Property. We also have dedicated teams in Structured Finance who specialise in meeting the needs of Public and Private Finance Partnership arrangements, Further and Higher Education establishments, Healthcare and Trade Finance.
Bank of Ireland Business Finance is our asset finance business with a salesforce throughout GB. Bank of Ireland Business Finance offers a complete range of leasing schemes including Hire Purchase, Finance Lease and Operating Lease.
